Good read over at Firearms User Network. All of my research turned up similar findings, and this is why I recommend basic chrome lined barrels for all but the most expert users. Nice stainless match barrels and all the great shooting gear really only matters for that last little percentage when all the actual marksmanship skills are dialed in.
But the cost difference between a basic rifle and fancy match rifle is huge.
